Heads up real news about drugs and your body year 2-student edition
OBSOLETE>This booklet is a collaboration between Scholastic Classroom Magazines and the researchers of the National Institute on Drug Abuse. This collection of articles is designed to teach youth in grades 6-12 about how drugs of abuse e.g. cocaine/crack, LSD, prescription medications) affect the brain and body. A section on the vulnerability of the teen brain is also included. In addition, real teens share personal experiences of addiction and recovery. These articles were distributed in Scholastic magazines nationwide during the 2003/2004 school year.
