Transforming Mental Health Services: Implementing The Federal Agenda For Change
The New Freedom Commission on Mental Health is the group associated with this publication. They advise the President on ways to improve the system to enable adults with serious mental illnesses and children with serious emotional disturbances to live, work, learn, and participate fully in their communities. This manual talks about recovery from mental illness and having a life in the community. It includes information regarding updated papers from the commission subcommittees on mental health care, themes from the commission on mental health care, state examples of the transformation of mental health care, and the progress and next steps that need to be taken to improve mental health care.
