The use of technology in treatment of substance users is a growing and promising practice in particular for populations in rural and underserved areas. This publication provides information from a variety of sources and highlights key components needed for providers of treatment with special emphasis on substance abuse treatment providers and/or treatment providers who may be considering treatment of clients using technology.
